You’ll oversee and support all members of an installation team and electricians installing residential and commercial solar arrays and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Check and confirm materials list for varied installation jobs
- Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Assist electricians with AC/DC wiring
- Document completion of finished tasks
- Assure cleanup of job site
- Additional duties as needed
- Overnight travel may be required
Requirements:
- 2 years of roof work and/or general construction experience
- Able to lift and carry 40 pounds
- Able to work in extreme environments such as hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
- Familiar with common hand and power tools used in construction
- Willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods of time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Able to successfully pass pre-employment and periodic criminal, driving, and drug screens
- Overnight travel may be required
Other Qualifications:
- Solar system installation, electrical contractor, roofer, or related experience strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of DC and AC circuits common in solar installations
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office
