Junior Solar Installers

You’ll support your installation team’s senior installers and Crew Lead in installing residential and commercial solar arrays and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Check and confirm materials list for varied installation jobs
  • Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse
  • Lay out and assemble solar modules/array and mounting hardware
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
  • Assist senior installers with AC/DC electrical wiring
  • Document completion of finished tasks
  • Job site cleanup
  • Additional duties as needed
  • Overnight travel may be required


Requirements:

  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Able to work in extreme environments such as hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
  • Willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
  • Able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • Able to successfully pass pre-employment and periodic criminal, driving, and drug screens
  • Overnight travel may be required

Other Qualifications:

  • 1 year of roof work, general construction, electrical contractor or carpentry experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Familiar with common hand and power tools used in construction
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft
  • Windows and Office
