You’ll support your installation team’s senior installers and Crew Lead in installing residential and commercial solar arrays and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Check and confirm materials list for varied installation jobs
- Pre-assemble job components in the warehouse
- Lay out and assemble solar modules/array and mounting hardware
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Assist senior installers with AC/DC electrical wiring
- Document completion of finished tasks
- Job site cleanup
- Additional duties as needed
- Overnight travel may be required
Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Able to work in extreme environments such as hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
- Willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops, and work on your feet for long periods of time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Able to successfully pass pre-employment and periodic criminal, driving, and drug screens
- Overnight travel may be required
Other Qualifications:
- 1 year of roof work, general construction, electrical contractor or carpentry experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Familiar with common hand and power tools used in construction
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft
- Windows and Office
