Solution

Milestone Solar proposed and implemented a comprehensive ground-mount solar installation with battery backup. The system included:

• 20.16 kW ground-mount solar array
• 48 REC solar panels
• Enphase inverters
• Enphase Envoy battery system

The complete system included a ground-mount solar array installation, integration of Enphase inverters and battery system with custom programming, and creation of a load analysis diagram for optimized energy management.

Milestone Solar programmed the system to run off batteries during specific hours, optimizing the customer’s energy usage based on utility pricing. During peak energy price hours, the system was set to run in real-time from solar power. It then switches to battery power during evening and night hours when grid energy is cheaper, preserving stored solar energy for high-price periods.

Results

In the end, the solar system significantly reduced the customer’s reliance on grid power, contributing to their goal of environmental sustainability. The smart programming also allowed the customer to minimize energy costs by using solar and battery power during high-price periods. Finally, the load analysis diagram ensured the system was tailored to the customer’s specific energy needs and usage patterns, providing a wholly optimized system for long-term benefits.
